Personality & Traits

General Overview Rosa has many flaws: stubborn, foolhardy, and maybe a bit too emotionally closed off, as in not too friendly with strangers. But with such a hardened disposition comes hardy determination and an intolerance to being taken advantage of or bullied. She is usually a closed book holding her heart and feelings close
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths: Perseverant, determined, hardworking

Weaknesses: Foolhardy, emotionally hardened, untrusting
Ambitions Newly joining Starfleet has given Rosa opportunity for new ambitions but what those are yet she doesn’t know
Hobbies & Interests Though she’d never admit it, Rosa has a fondness for poetry (both reading and writing it) and also writes in a personal journal. The journal is the only way she wishes for her most personal emotions to be expressed. She also enjoys 20th century hip hop

Personal History The DeLaCruz’s were not a wholesome family. Rosa’s parents divorced when she was 12 and her brother was in his early 20’s. The divorce left their mother a shell of her former self and thus her maternal instincts fell to the wayside making for a neglectful household where Rosa’s only supportive solace was in her journal or poetry.

With a negligent household and a distant father, Rosa turned to her brother for guidance who inspired her to join the gang life he had adopted as a teenager. When her brother reached his early 30’s he left the life behind but Rosa stayed hopelessly lost in it. Fighting, cheating, lying, and stealing, she was great at all of it resulting in her brother regretting the monster he created.

Though now nearing her 60’s, Rosa’s mother has grown exhausted of her daughter’s behavior and through the help of a friend in the academy forced Rosa into Starfleet. Rosa joins (begrudgingly) as a new medical officer and though her exterior doesn’t show it: hopes to become someone her mother and brother can be proud of…….and her father be damned.
Service Record None to speak of as of yet having newly joined
