The U.S.S. Potemkin NCC-1711-B might truly be considered a monster. Designed and constructed by a team headed up by Captain Alexander "Putty" O'Brien, the Potemkin-B served faithfully for just over a year before being lost to the Jem'Hadar during an impressive battle. The ship's unusual design (72 decks, dual redundant warp cores and a quad nacelle configuration) made it one of the first ships to have variable-geometry warp field capabilities. This ship, by far the most unusual to bear the name Potemkin, was home to many of the Potemkin's greatest heroes.
