Runabout belonging to Starbase 312. During the failure of Earth's weather control satellites, Arkin found that the Muskingum was, along with the T'Ellur, one of two ion trails that had passed by the satellite recently.

It is named after the Muskingum River, an important tributary of the Ohio River, that flows through south east Ohio in North America.
