Deck beta is home to some of the Potemkin's diplomatic facilities. After the end of the Dominion War, some new Akira-class starships had space designed originally for weaponry or troop transportation reconfigured for peacetime use. The VIP/Ambassadorial Quarters occupy some of this reconfigured space.
