On deck alpha, both port and starboard, there are extensive torpedo storage magazines. These house photon torpedoes, quantum torpedoes, and various scientific probes. The torpedoes or probes are whisked away by a sophisticated system of elevators to the torpedo launching tubes in the Weapons Module, where they can be fired by the Tactical Officer.
