An integral component of deck 4's medical complex is the set of Research Suites located on the port side of the ship. Using the facilities offered here, the ship's medical personnel can research and examine medical conditions, injuries, diseases, general genetic structure research, and several other subjects. More specialized research facilities in the areas of genetic research and virology are located elsewhere on the deck.
