The crew encountered him during "Danegeld," when the accidentally stumbled onto his the existence of he and his people. The crew also helped him out of being extorted by DaiMon Nor for valuable crops, livestock, and money. Even after being informed of his people's true origins, Æthelred and his people elected to stay on Maldred III.
